Jimmy Webb
Desperados Under the Eaves
"Few singers blend grit and grandeur like Jimmy Webb…[his] voice is like an old Mustang heading through a treacherous yet often gorgeous landscape." – Rolling Stone
"At an age when other singers are losing their voices, Mr. Webb finds his mercurial, unguarded, singing…attaining the gritty authority of a softhearted country outlaw’s…Mr. Webb is still at the top of his game."
– Stephen Holden, The New York Times

James Maddock
Reconsider Me
A rock & roll lifer, James Maddock has been carving his unique path since the 1980s, when the New York City based, British-born singer/songwriter kicked off his career with a raw, soulful voice; a storyteller's sense of narrative; and the ability to blur the lines between folk, classic pop, and rock.
Since his early days in London, he's ridden the wave of a music industry that's ebbed, flowed, peaked, and crashed. Maddock has stayed afloat throughout the entire ride, enjoying a brush with commercial success during the late 1990s - including a major-label record deal, a Top 5 AAA radio hit, and a song placements on major TV Series - before transforming himself into an independent solo artist during the decades that followed.
After fronting the Columbia Records band Wood, whose debut Songs From Stamford Hill was featured prominently on TV shows such as “Dawson’s Creek,” Maddock moved from England to New York City in 2003. His 2009 album Sunrise On Avenue C won a New York Music Award for Best Americana Album, while the follow-up Wake Up And Dream ranked among the top albums of 2011 in WFUV's (NYC) Listener Poll. With the release of Another Life (2013) and a 5 further albums over the following 7 years, two of them created over the Corona Virus pandemic - No time to Cry (2020) and Little Bird in the Neighbourhood (2021) - which garnered critical acclaim and extensive radio play.
His latest release in 2023 ‘Night Work’ is a beautiful collection of songs reminiscent of The Eagles and Credence Clearwater Revival - no imitation, simply landing effortlessly in the space between. Recorded with close musical friends including Steve Jackson (drums) and James O’Malley (bass) from his days in the band Wood. As well as Aaron Comess, Drew Mortali, Ben Stivers, Brian Mitchell, James Hallawell, Jack Daley, Heather Hardy and Olivier Durand. Mixed by the great Dave O’Donnell (Keith Richards, James Taylor, John Mayer). Amongst the first reviews, Dan French from ‘Point Blank’ wrote - ‘James’s remarkable talent for capturing the kaleidoscope of life in superbly crafted, heartfelt songs - ranging in mood from poignant heartbreak to upbeat joy, with the promise to nourish your spirit’. James Maddock continues to demonstrate why many consider him to be one of the best singer/songwriters working today.
James has performed regularly with Willie Nile, Aaron Comess (Spin Doctors), David Immergluck (Counting Crows), Brian Mitchell (Levon Helm Band) and SNL drummer Shawn Pelton and has shared the stage with many well known artists such as Bruce Springsteen, The Waterboys, Pete Seeger, Levon Helm and many others. According to radio legend Vin Scelsa, Maddock's "heartbreakingly beautiful and exquisitely crafted" music "touches the soul." Relix Magazine put it this way: “James Maddock possesses the kind of lived-in craggy voice that would sound authoritative if he were singing the sports pages. Fortunately, he doesn't need to do that because his compositional skills are a match for his delivery." Stuart McLachlan from LouderThanWar.com wrote that James has ‘the ability to stun a crowded room into awe with just himself and a guitar’ and that ‘all his songs share a haunting guitar backdrop, and his voice is a marvel, torn and battered by life but infinitely resilient.’
As a songwriter, James had three songs co-written with Mike Scott on the Waterboysalbum Modern Blues (which appeared in the Top 50 on the UK Albums Chart) and a co-write with Gary Barlow (“Actress”) on Barlow’s album (2X Platinum). Songs from Another Life have been featured on NBC’s Parenthood and ABC Family’s Switched at Birth. Maddock is a constant live presence in the U.S. and Europe.
James appears on Paradiddle Records release Willie Nile Uncovered.

Freedy Johnston
Poor Poor Pitiful Me
http://www.freedyjohnston.com/
Freedy Johnston—an American singer-songwriter celebrated for his sharp, literate storytelling and bittersweet pop melodies—brings his own distinctive touch to the song. Born in Kinsley, Kansas, Johnston grew up far from any major music scene yet became one of the most admired songwriters of the 1990s, known for rich character sketches, emotional nuance, and understated hooks.
He released his debut album, The Trouble Tree, in 1990, but his breakthrough came with 1992’s Can You Fly, a critically acclaimed record he famously financed by selling his family’s farmland. His best-known work, This Perfect World (1994), produced by Butch Vig, features the hit “Bad Reputation,” which brought him national attention.
Johnston’s music blends folk-pop, rock, and Americana, often with a touch of melancholy. Critics consistently praise his ability to craft songs that feel both intimate and universal. His later albums—including Never Home (1997), Rain on the City (2010), and Neon Repairman (2015)—further cement his reputation as one of America’s most quietly brilliant and enduring songwriters.
Kenny White
Don't Let Us Get Sick
Hailed by reviewers from the New York Times to the San Francisco Chronicle for his “thrilling” and “unique” piano playing, Kenny White is a talented singer/songwriter and a successful NYC-based record producer. He has written, performed, and produced music for hundreds of TV and radio commercials as well as film soundtracks, and has worked with stars like Keith Richards, Merle Haggard, and Linda Ronstadt.
Although he is an accomplished and sought-after pianist, White is known for his clever lyrics – compared to artists as diverse as Randy Newman and Leonard Cohen. His shows include original music, with songs ranging from humorous to heart-breaking, with White accompanying himself on piano and guitar. He often tours with Cheryl Wheeler and with Judy Collins, who released three of his CDs on her Wildflower Records label, and was featured as opener for the Stephen Stills & Judy Collins reunion tour.
White is currently touring in support of his current album, LONG LIST OF PRIORS, which features guest musicians such as the late David Crosby, who says “Kenny has earned a place among my favorite singer/songwriters. A true wordsmith and musician who reveals a fine sense of humor as well.”
Kenny appears on Paradiddle Records release Willie Nile Uncovered.
Pete Mancini
American Equator (out March 7th on Paradiddle Records) is a record that could only come from an artist who has weathered more than his fair share of storms. For NYC songwriter Pete Mancini, life in sobriety still has its challenges, but the satisfaction of making art with a clear mind is unparalleled.
Early on, Mancini achieved critical acclaim with his first band, Butchers Blind, though he was left picking up the pieces when they split up after two albums. In 2017, he released his debut solo album, Foothill Freeway, which was featured in NPR, No Depression, and Newsday. His second full-length album, Flying First Class, was released in 2019. Extensive touring followed, establishing Mancini as a national artist. Still, something didn’t feel right.“I was still holding on to years of pent-up emotions and not dealing with them in a healthy way. I needed to clear the wreckage of the past.” An intense period of reflection and self-discovery painted a complex backdrop as Mancini continued pursuing his commitment to being a working musician. In the tumultuous summer of 2020, Mancini headed down to Dial Back Sound in Water Valley, MS, to begin work on his third solo album, Killing The Old Ways. Produced by Matt Patton of Drive By Truckers and Bronson Tew, the LP marked a significant artistic leap forward. “Working with Patton cast my songs in a new light, which helped them finally reach their full potential.” The collaboration resulted in Mancini’s most well-received and successful album to date.American Equator sees Mancini reaching new heights of songwriting. He explores themes of American identity (Calamity People, American Equator), storytelling (Skid Row Skyline, Spy Rock Road, Paris Hotel, Leaving For Raleigh), spirituality (Technicolor Days, Stomping Grounds), and grief (The Signal, Sun Came Up). Recorded over a span of 5 days with Patton once again at the helm producing, Mancini has realized his most emphatic and cohesive album yet. Contributions from Jay Gonzalez (Drive By Truckers), Tim Lee, Schaefer Llana, and John Smith (Dexateens) support Mancini as he confidently treads new sonic territory.
“It took time and effort to get to a place where I can write freely. I can’t wait to get these new songs out into the world.” Pete Mancini has learned to keep his eyes focused on the skies ahead.
Over the years, Mancini has toured with Jimmy Webb and opened for Los Lobos, Blues Traveler, Gin Blossoms, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Cracker, Rhett Miller, Amy Helm, Larry Campbell & Theresa Williams, and Iain Matthews. In addition to playing guitar with Jimmy Webb, Mancini is also a member of The Famous Doctor Scanlon Band, which honors the musical legacy of Travis McKeveny.
Pete proudly uses Fishman Electronics and JangleBox Pedals.
